Art Room Attention Getter

Early August and the schools are quietly full of teacher's working hard getting classrooms ready for the new year. I spent two days rearranging my room for a better layout of tables, better flow for students in the artroom, cleaning and organizing the closet and updating the walls! Below is a picture of an awesome 5th graders and the poster she helped make. This idea came from Pinterest, but I added some student and teacher artwork to show examples. This was fun to make and draws a lot of attention to the Principles and Elements of art, which is exactly what I want students to remember.
